What is HireScope AI?
HireScope AI is a Chrome extension for recruiters and HR professionals. It gives you 10+ free tools: instant experience stats, skill classification, quick match scoring, candidate management, and AI-powered evaluations — all directly on LinkedIn profiles.
What free tools are included?
The free plan includes: experience stats (total years, seniority level), skill classification (grouped by technical, soft, and tools), quick match scoring against your job requirements (no AI credits), profile summary, 50 saved candidates, 10 custom tags, 3 job positions, 7-day history, and profile export. All free, no trial expiry.
Do free analysis tools use my AI evaluation credits?
No. Experience stats, skill classification, quick match, and profile summary are computed locally — they never consume your AI evaluation credits. Only running a full AI Evaluation uses a credit (3 per day on the free plan).
How does Quick Match work?
Quick Match uses TF-IDF keyword matching to compare a candidate's skills and experience against your active job requirements — no AI API call or credit required. It highlights which required skills are present and which are missing, giving you an instant compatibility signal before you decide whether to run a full AI evaluation.
Where is candidate data stored?
On the free plan, candidates are saved locally in your browser (IndexedDB). Your data never leaves your device. On paid plans, candidates are synced to our secure cloud so you can access them across devices.
How does AI candidate evaluation work?
When you visit a LinkedIn profile, HireScope AI extracts publicly available information such as work history, education, skills, and headline. This data is sent to our AI model, which scores the candidate across six dimensions against the job requirements you have defined. You receive a structured report with scores, explanations, red flags, and suggested interview questions.
How much does HireScope AI cost?
HireScope AI offers a free plan with 10+ tools and 3 AI evaluations per day — no credit card required. Paid plans include Starter ($12/month) and Pro ($29/month). You can use the free plan indefinitely.
Is HireScope AI accurate?
HireScope AI provides AI-assisted evaluations based on publicly available LinkedIn profile data. Accuracy depends on the completeness of the candidate's profile. Each evaluation includes a confidence indicator that tells you how complete the profile data is. We recommend using HireScope AI as one input among many in your hiring process, not as the sole decision factor.
Which browsers does HireScope support?
HireScope AI is a Chrome extension that works in Google Chrome and any Chromium-based browser, including Microsoft Edge and Brave. It requires LinkedIn to be open in the browser to function.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use Supabase with row-level security for data storage, meaning your data is isolated from other users. We do not sell your data to third parties, and our AI provider does not use your API inputs to train their models.
Does HireScope comply with GDPR?
HireScope AI only processes publicly visible LinkedIn profile data that you initiate the evaluation of. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting privacy@hire-scope.com. We retain evaluation history for the duration specified by your plan, after which data is automatically purged.
Can I use HireScope AI for bulk candidate screening?
Currently, HireScope AI evaluates candidates one at a time as you browse LinkedIn profiles. Bulk evaluation and API access are on our roadmap for future plans.
What are the six scoring dimensions?
HireScope AI scores candidates across: (1) Skills Match — how well their listed skills align with job requirements; (2) Experience Relevance — the relevance of their work history; (3) Career Trajectory — growth and progression trends; (4) Seniority Fit — whether their level matches the role; (5) Education Alignment — relevant academic background; and (6) Overall Score — a weighted composite.
Do I need a LinkedIn account to use HireScope?
Yes, you need to be logged into LinkedIn in your browser for HireScope AI to extract profile data. HireScope reads the page content that LinkedIn displays to logged-in users.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. If you need a refund, please contact us at support@hire-scope.com and we will review your request.
Can I share evaluations with my team?
Team sharing and collaboration features are on our roadmap. Currently, each user manages their own evaluations independently.
