Terms of Service

Welcome to HireScope AI ("Service"), operated by HireScope ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. Service Description

HireScope AI is a Chrome browser extension and associated web services that provide AI-powered candidate evaluation for recruiting professionals. The Service analyzes publicly available LinkedIn profile data to generate candidate assessments against user-defined job requirements.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics (race, gender, age, religion, disability, etc.)
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service or its outputs without written permission
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Represent AI-generated evaluations as human-authored assessments

4. AI-Generated Content

Evaluations generated by the Service are AI-assisted and should be used as one input among many in your hiring process. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated evaluations. Hiring decisions should always involve human judgment and not rely solely on automated assessments.

5. Subscription and Billing

The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and AI models, is our proprietary property. You retain ownership of job descriptions and other content you provide to the Service. We retain ownership of the AI-generated evaluation format and methodology.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HireScope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data 30 days after account termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
