HireScope ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the HireScope AI service ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture from your Google account.

LinkedIn Profile Data: When you evaluate a candidate, the extension extracts publicly visible profile data (name, headline, experience, education, skills) from the LinkedIn page you are viewing. This data is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored for Free plan users.

Job Descriptions: Job positions and requirements you create within the Service are stored in your account.

Evaluation Results: AI-generated evaluations are stored according to your plan's retention period (7 days for Free, 30 days for Pro, unlimited for Team and Agency).

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage metrics such as evaluation counts and feature usage to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate AI-powered candidate evaluations against your job requirements
• To manage your account and subscription
• To communicate important updates about the Service
• To monitor and enforce usage limits per your subscription plan
• To improve and optimize the Service

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Candidate profile data and job requirements are sent to Anthropic's API to generate evaluations. Data is processed according to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.
• Supabase: Account data, job descriptions, and evaluation history are stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases with row-level security.
• Creem.io: Payment information is processed by Creem.io. We do not store your credit card details.
• Vercel: Our backend services are hosted on Vercel.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Evaluation history is retained according to your subscription plan. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), database-level row-level security, and secure authentication via Google OAuth. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Cookies

The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the Service
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your evaluation history
• Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service.
